First of all let me apologize for my bad use of punctuation. I’m just really shocked at hearing this news.
I regret having to type this but… a video leaked of One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik smoking marijuana while they were on their tour in Brazil. I would like to defend them by saying that maybe they didn’t know it was marijuana (since Zayn already smoked before and he could’ve offered Louis a cigarette thinking it was harmless) or that they were just testing it out to see what it smelt like so that they wouldn’t take it by mistake in the future- but I won’t, seeing as there really is no point in trying.
Okay let’s make one thing clear: they were in Brazil, and marijuana is for a fact legal in Brazil. I’m not saying that they were doing a good thing, I’m just pointing out that it wasn’t illegal when they did it. Let’s also make another thing clear: the video wasn’t leaked, Louis Tomlinson posted it on his Youtube channel.
After the video went viral the two boys took to Twitter and claimed that it was fake and that they were just trying to prank the other members of One Direction. But I think this just makes the truth seem more obvious, as nobody believes that they were pulling a prank on the other band members. Even if it really was fake, the reactions to it were not at all good.
Some fans said that the boys are old enough to make their own decisions and support them fully. Some other fans sold their tickets to the upcoming concerts for mere American cents. The most extreme thing that some ex fans did was film themselves BURNING their tickets to the concerts and posting them online! I get it, they’re angry but I think that they should at least get what they paid for!

I’m not supporting Louis and Zayn on this but I’m not going into a rage like other fans are. Let’s just say that I’m really disappointed in them okay? Like, REALLY disappointed. I’m just hoping that this will just be a one-time thing and that it won’t happen again. If it turns out not to be a one-time thing, I’ll hope they go into rehab about it. If they do neither of the first two options, I will personally fly over to where they are or going to be, give them a serious telling off and personally escort them to rehab and make sure that they stay there until they get over this drug thing. I know that it’s extreme, but I only want the best for them.
But we all have to agree on one thing, and that’s that the life of showbiz is tough and that they have to seem happy about everything they have to deal with. And let’s face it, drugs make you feel happy when you first start taking them, and that the boys have to seem happy all the time to make other people happy. I’m still not defending them, I’m just pointing out a fact. Another reason they have for taking the drugs and videotaping it and then posting it online is that they get more publicity for it. Just think about all this.
