Where’s Perrie?

DISCLAIMER: I do not own any of the footage in this video, (apart from the first and last scene which I shot myself with my phone), all of the (other) footage belongs to the Disney series Phineas & Ferb, and a few One Direction and Little Mix music videos. (Actually, it was just one Little Mix music video) The song in the video is also from Phineas & Ferb; Season 2 Episode 17, ‘Oh, There You Are Perry’.

I think it was needed to put a disclaimer in there, because some people take copyright very seriously, although it is plainly obvious that I did not take or make any of the footage in this video that does not have me in it.

Explanation: In Phineas & Ferb, Phineas and Ferb have a pet platypus called Perry, and Zayn Malik has a girlfriend called Perrie.

I thought that this would be a bit of fun, and a good spoof for my English class.

P.S. (post scriptum)
My mom came up with this idea. She’s beautiful and is always right. (It’s an inside joke)

Does Cinderella Have Common Sense?

Does Cinderella have any common sense? In my opinion, no, she doesn’t. Before anybody starts arguing with me, just hear me out.

1.  She fell in love with a guy she just met. I know that this happens in practically every single fairy tale, but she did! I know that fairy tales always have this concept of ‘love at first sight’, but what if Prince Charming was like Hans and didn’t really love her? I know he couldn’t have been, considering that he was the royal in this case, but Cinderella didn’t have a valid reason to marry the guy! In the story, it seems as if she’s marrying him for the position of being Queen or for the wealth. She didn’t even know if he was just acting like a nice guy at the ball, she hadn’t spent enough time with him separately to know if he picked his nose or not! (Frozen reference there, if anybody noticed)

2.  When she left the ball, she could have ran away from the evil    stepmother and step-sisters. She didn’t have to stay, she could’ve ran off into the sunset and made an actual living, instead of being a slave.

The next highlights aren’t exactly criticizing her common sense, but I thought that they were important.

3.  She was a horrible maid. The whole point in cleaning a house, is to make sure it’s clean and not full of mice. What did Cinderella do? She freed every single mouse that was caught in a trap and made them clothes!

4.  She wore a dress that was made by mice and birds. Let me go over the fact that mice are extremely dirty and birds are constantly pooping! Not the cleanest dress in my opinion.

5.  She didn’t do anything! She didn’t even learn a lesson! Everything was handed to her on a silver plate, and the was just lucky that she was the only person who had tiny feet. She was dependent on everyone else in the story, and she didn’t do a single thing for herself.

The last one isn’t exactly a comment on Cinderella, it’s more on her shoes.

6. It is not possible for Cinderella to be the only person in an entire kingdom to have that shoe size. Also, who in their right mind would wear shoes made out of GLASS? I don’t understand how she could walk, let alone dance in those shoes, because one wrong move and her entire foot would break.

Do you agree, or do you disagree with me? Also, has anybody noticed that Cinderella, Snow White, and Sleeping Beauty are all incredibly alike?

English: Is It Properly Graded?

Recently, I’ve noticed that when you do an English exam or test, you could get more or less points than you deserve. Why? Because English isn’t mainly graded on your grammar and punctuation or your writing technique, it’s graded on someone’s opinion over yours.

Sure, maybe the way you wrote in your exam wasn’t to your full potential, but when someone asks you to write about your thoughts and opinion on a topic and you do it, you shouldn’t be graded on your opinion. Say if the topic was ‘How Would You Stop Racism?’ and you wrote ‘I’d tell black people that no one actually cares enough to try and hurt them specifically so they should stop being the racist ones and shut up.’ and the person who was grading your exam didn’t agree with you,  they would give you a lower grade than you deserve. That’s not how you grade an exam! An exam should be graded by how well you wrote your opinion, not on what your opinion is! Or say if you had to answer some questions on a poem, but you don’t really have a thing for poetry, so you tried your hardest and fulfilled the requirements for the exam. Again, the person would be grading how well you spotted things in the poem and how you wrote them, not what you wrote.

Long story short: English is all opinion. You could write the greatest story in the world with the best grammar, spelling, and punctuation, and there would still be people who wouldn’t like it.

P.S.
What was written about racism wasn’t my opinion, it was just an example, so don’t go hating on me.
