Better Late Than Never?

I was at a concert recently and I was a little disappointed at how late the show actually started. I was there at the time the gates opened, and waited the entire hour and a half for the time the show was SUPPOSED to start. But, the opening act started half an hour late and played for 50 minutes. Before and after that the audience was watching music videos on a giant screen that they could’ve just watched on Youtube at home.
The actual concert began 45 minutes after that, and lasted for one hour and a half. I was disappointed because I was there for a total of 5 hours and I got what I wanted for only an hour and a half. Don’t get me wrong, the concert was great, and I enjoyed every minute of it- but seriously, the entire time waiting was extremely boring. I spent about an hour playing Flappy Bird waiting for the concert to start.

So you’re asking why I wrote a post about this? Well, I just think that the singers (if they ever read my blog) should be careful about how late they start their concerts. I’ve seen the hate comments on Youtube, and late concerts just give them more reasons to hate the singers, and some fans may go to the dark side because of this. It may seem silly to you, the singers- but who wants to pay a lot of money for something they have to wait ages for? I think the answer to that is obvious, and I don’t want my favorite band in the whole wide world to lose their fans. I’m a loyal fan and always will be, but I’m just warning all artists that some fans aren’t.

Lesson Of The Day For Singers: Start your concerts on time, or at most ten minutes late. And if you do start two hours late sing for more that one hour and a half. I’m serious, don’t make people wait a long time for something that lasts very little (like my concert experience last night). It may be hard to sing or do interesting things for so long, but everything will turn out just fine if you do. Believe me, what goes around comes around.
